Notifu.com – free SMS, IM, Email Notification Service
I recently bumped into this Web 2.0 application called Notifu which allows users to send notifications to groups and individuals through email, IM, SMS , or phone. It can also gather responses from recipients, quite helpful when polling decisions.
The service was launched last October 29, 2008 and it’s still in its beta stage. According to their blog, the Notifu service currently encounters problems when sending messages to US and Canada.
Alternately, instead of using the service to poll decisions, you can simply use the application to send messages (sms) to your friends abroad. Everything is FREE.
The service is also available for iPhone users. Check out Notifu at http://www.notifu.com

Since the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet is not a mobile phone, but it does not intend to replace them but to complement them instead.
