Sony Ericsson's new sleek phone

Sony Ericsson is one of the best manufacturers of slide-phone in the industry. I always admire each of their slide-phone designs. Sony Ericsson did it again. They have produced another cool slide phone, the Sony Ericsson T303.

If you are looking for a sleek and compact phone, the new Sony Ericsson T303 is the right one for you. This 83 x 47 x 14.7 mm slider phone features a metal finish which gives it a classy look.

Did I say ‘classy’? But don’t be fooled by the looks because the Sony Ericsson T303 is an entry level phone for those who are tight on budget. The last time I checked with Sony Ericsson (Philippines), they sell this gadget for PhP 5, 300.00 (approx $115.00)

Aside from the back brushed metal finish, the phone’s front boasts its mirror finish (which is similar to those of Samsung’s).

I was so lucky since the people from Sony Ericsson lend my the phone for a few minutes. Take a look at these unboxing photos:

General Sony Ericsson T303 Specifications

  • 128×160 pixel, 65,000-color 1.8″ display
  • Bluetooth, v2.0
  • FM radio with RDS
  • MP3 player
  • TrackID music recognition
  • 1.3-Megapixel camera
  • 8 MB internal memory
  • GPRS (Class 10)
  • 9 hours Talk time, 400 hours Standby time

Pros

  • Attractive design
  • Lightweight
  • Long battery life
  • Cool metallic finish
  • Affordable

Cons

  • No 3G
  • Slow operating system (pretty similar to that of K300i)
  • No memory expansion capabilities, small built-in memory size
  • No video capture
  • Too basic

After going through the phone’s features and specifications, its pros and cons, it is concluded that this phone is great for those people who are on a tight budget. On a small amount, you’ll get a classy looking phone comparable to those other mid-range luxury phones. This phone is a no no for those geek and tech savy people. The phone’s features are too basic. Also, the phone’s operating system is a bit slow. This phone is excellent for call functionalities and nothing more. If I still have an extra space on my pocket, I would have bought this phone for my Unlimited Call line.
