SMS Manager is a very nifty application for your Symbian S60 phone. SMS Manager is an application used to filter messages before it gets into your mobile phone’s inbox. The application will file SMS messages to a specific defined folder under your My Folders by using the sender’s mobile number.
Users can define custom rules for filtering messages. For example, you are receiving annoying messages from a person named Philip and you don’t want Philip bugging your inbox with his nasty and annoying messages. You can define a rule and set the rule’s Phone number to Philip’s number and set the Move to field to a folder named Spam. When SMS Manager is actively running, all messages coming from Philip’s number will automatically be thrown to the Spam folder.
The application has an option where you can set or disable notifications when a message affected by the rules you set will arrive. It also has an auto-start option for automatically running the application immediately after the mobile phone starts.
This application is assumed to be compatible with all Symbian Series 60 phones. I have tried running it on my Nokia N82 and has not found any problems during its operation.
