Western Digital TV: Live HD Media Player

One of Western Digital’s release is the New WD TV: Live HD media Player. Originally I know Western Digital to be a leading brand for storage. That was basically all I ever wanted: a huge storage device.

Then suddenly they come up with something like this. What exactly is this? According to the features it looks like some kind of device to help you access your media in a more orderly fashion. But even after reading the features and stuff I really didn’t understand how in the world will this device help me. I have my laptop and numerous softwares.
