Exploding SE K608i Standard Charger
I was charging my Sony Ericsson K608i this morning when I heard an explosion from my room. Our circuit breaker immediately tripped after I heard the sound, an indication that there has been a short circuit. I immediately ran into my room only to find out that the cause of the explosion was my K608i’s Standard Charger (CST-13). Thanks to Sony Ericsson’s charger design that the damage did not reach my phone. My phone is still working as of this time. More »

Sony Ericsson’s after sales service, err is not so good
It has been a few months since this incident happened. Kuya Migs of migsmobile.net has been asking me to blog about this since then.
It all started when I accidentally dropped my two-month old SE W960i. The whole LCD screen was halved and the phone’s housing received terrible scratches. I immediately brought my unit to Ayala Center Cebu’s Sony Ericsson Concept Shop, the nearest Sony Ericsson service center (MemoXpress) from my apartment in Cebu City. After waiting for almost a week and paying hell lots of monies for the replacement LCD, I was able to claim my phone with it’s display in good working condition. More »

Sony Ericsson T303
Sony Ericsson is one of the best manufacturers of slide-phone in the industry. I always admire each of their slide-phone designs. Sony Ericsson did it again. They have produced another cool slide phone, the Sony Ericsson T303.
If you are looking for a sleek and compact phone, the new Sony Ericsson T303 is the right one for you. This 83 x 47 x 14.7 mm slider phone features a metal finish which gives it a classy look.
Did I say ‘classy’? But don’t be fooled by the looks because the Sony Ericsson T303 is an entry level phone for those who are tight on budget. The last time I checked with Sony Ericsson (Philippines), they sell this gadget for PhP 5, 300.00 (approx $115.00)

SE W960i, the gadget blogging bought me
I am so happy because I finally bought my dream phone, the Sony Ericsson W960i Walkman Phone. I used a portion of my earnings from PRCBER to buy the phone.
I’ve been going to the different shops from different malls since last month to check on the prices. Finally, last week, I can’t help my urge on buying this phone. I was able to get it for PhP 21,780.00 ($484). It’s the cheapest I’ve seen from the weeks of hunting for a good price.
SE W960i is Sony Ericsson’s banner phone for 2008. It’s a camera, music (walkman) and busines phone in one. It has a built-in 8GB memory. It runs on Symbian’s UIQ3, the operating system being used by Sony Ericsson’s P-series phones. Like most UIQ3 devices, it also has touch screen capabilities. Since it’s a business phone, it has a built-in office application which permits you to create and view documents. I’m also satisfied with its 3.2 Megapixel camera which is equipped with auto focus capabilities. It’s a lot better than K608i’s 1.3 MP camera.
