How to fix itunes error 5002?

2847411293_c413ae9118_oRecently, almost all iTunes software encountered error 5002 when trying to purchase a free App from iTunes store.

Instruction from apple care on how to fix this error is as follow:

1. Download and run “App Cleaner”.
2. Find iTunes in your applications folder and drop it on to App Cleaner’s window.
3. Download a new copy of iTunes for Apple, and install it. You can get it form here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

That’s it. This should have solved iTunes error 5002.
