Asus Eee PC 1005HA Review

With all the craze on portable computers, we aim to look for that Perfect netbook. And so goes the question, what is the best netbook for me?
We want to have a netbook with lesser hassle so most likely, a lighter netbook including the absence of carrying the charger. So what netbook is good without a charger? The netbook currently boasting the longest Netbook Battery life with 10.5 hours of use. That way, you don’t actually need your charger. And even if you do need your charger, you won’t worry beause its pretty small itself.
Battery
Yep, its got an amazing 10.5 hours battery life, but in reality since I ‘ve personally used this myself, its actually 8 hours. But hey, it’s still a very impressive time. I get impressed when I can still use the Eee PC for 1hour ++ after it has only 22% life left. This is attributed to the Hybrid engine and the 6 cell battery. Great Job Asus!
Sleek Design
This cool netbook can get you people’s attention. Derivng its design from the seashell, its nice thin look, with that cool shiny shell, it gives you a sense of high class look. People complain about fingerprint problems which is true. But another highlight of this netbook is the keyboard which is 92% of the original keyboard size. This way there is even less tendency to make mistakes in typing. Even as of now, I am making this review with an Eee PC 1005HA. The screen aint that bad either. But what I don’t like is the power button. I actually prefer them round.
Deep Inside
Of course its not always outside that matters. This baby has an Intel Atom Processor (which actually improved over the years) and a whopping 160G (and they used to be amazed with the 8G storage) and lastly compatible up to 2G of RAM. I would often hear people asking if they can do Adobe Photoshop in this. The answer is Yes.
Other Features
A feature which I quite enjoy is the Zoom in zoom out on the mousepad. You put your two fingers together and move them apart then the image (or web browser) will zoom in, do otherwise and it will zoom out. Cute multitouch feature. And it also has 3 USB ports and built in SD card reader which I find quite useful for Photographers on the go. Although the audio is not THAT powerful, but its a damn decent audio compared to other netbooks. Graphics wise, not exactly the best but quite decent. And I love how they placed the exhaust fan at the left side so it won’t be uncomfortable on the lap.
Conclusion
I wouldn’t say its perfect for everyone but it is damn perfect for me. I would give it 10 stars, 10 for design, 10 for function, 10 power, and 10 for value.
Oh before I forget its priced around 21K+ depends on where you buy it and since I upgraded to 2G ram, its around 23K. I upgraded the RAM for 1370 php. You can probably get it a little cheaper or maybe even 1K. Just check around.
*unfortunately I don’t have one of my own. this actually belongs to my mom. But if given the chance, I’d get one for myself.
