Problems with PLDT myDSL and OpenDNS
Two of my friends, Kuya Andrew and Kuya Blogie, who are both using OpenDNS and PLDT myDSL encountered an annoying problem this afternoon. PLDT myDSL subscribers who uses OpenDNS blocks their access to search engine sites like Google, Yahoo and MSN.
The odd thing about it is the presence of the PLDT myDSL logo below the Site Blocked message of OpenDNS.
Did OpenDNS mistake Philippines as China?
I hope they (PLDT and OpenDNS) can check this one.

They’re still blocking websites via OpenDNS’s filtering, but they’ve changed how they’re doing it:
Websites like 4chan are being blocked, unless you go to OpenDNS and unblock it, but that requires that you have an account.
PLDT is doing this to force people to use their DNS servers so they monitor you. They resolve DNS requests to IP addresses on their servers, so all DNS requests are logged.
This is totally out of line and must be brought to the attention of PLDT subscribers.
