Along with several other new DSLRs and in the market is the Alpha line of DSLRs, one of the high-end camera systems released by Sony. Here you have the Sony Alpha 55 and the Sony Alpha 33. These Alpha series of DSLRs are the entry level DSLRs of Sony.

For some of you who are already Nikon or Canon DSLR users you might laugh or even look down at people who carry with them a Sony Alpha DSLR (seriously there are photographers who do that). Well let me tell you something, the Sony Alpha line of DSLRs is nothing to laugh at because even at the entry level they pack some serious specs that can make you think twice about making fun of Sony DSLR users. 10fps for the Alpha 55 and 7fps for the Alpha 33. MIND YOU, these are Entry level DSLRs.

The more interesting technology shown by Sony is the translucent mirror technology which makes for better focusing and faster shooting. Sony is doing some serious growth in the DSLR industry and I won’t be surprised if there will be more and more users going for the Sony line of DSLRs. I think they just need to improve a bit in adding more features to their cameras.

Prices for the Alpha 55 is about 1060+ $ and around 845$ for the Alpha 33. Wow, 800+ bucks for a DSLR that can shoot at 7fps.. just wow.
