Samsung Gem: Running on Android 2.1

Samsung comes up with yet another Android phone. Though IMO the design looks nice, something like a “transformers” themed phone but having it run on Android 2.1 is something I won’t be too happy about.
Looking at the buttons you can see that there seems to be no home button. I don’t want to assume but, is the middle button the home button?
There’s still no date as to when it will be available in the different carriers but it’s actually in here: Samsung Main Website However as I checked the prices they still haven’t posted any.
One shouldn’t judge a phone by its cover alone so here are the specs of the phone:
- Android 2.1
- 3.2MP Camera
- 800MHz processor
- 850/1900MHz CDMA
- GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
- 3.2-inch touch display with WQVGA resolution
It also supposedly comes with an Anti-scratch and Anti-smudge touchscreen. Hmmm, I wonder if that works.
After looking at the different pictures of this phone I’m starting to see a strong resemblance of the Samsung Wave in it. Hmmmm, is this the Wave Androidified?
Well, I don’t really know but I’m sure that this phone does have a nice sleek design.
