Motorola Glam: Android on Dual sim

When we talk about your high end phones like Blackberry, Galaxy S, and iPhone you know that these phones come with one SIM card slot. I’ve only heard of phones with two sim card slots in phones like Cherry Mobile, myPhone and other cheaper brands or budget units from Samsung and LG.
But if you are in the middle of two network providers then Motorola Glam is the first Android phone from Motorola to give you the dual sim option.
Priced at around 500$ (or at least Android.in expects) here’s what this phone is made up of:
Display: 480 x 854 pixels, 3.7 inches, Gorilla Glass display
RAM: 512 MB RAM, 1GB storage
CPU: TI OMAP3430 550MHz processor
Video: D1(720×480)@24fps, HD video (720p) playback over built-in HDMI slot
Photo: 5 MP, 2592 x 1944 pixels, autofocus, dual-LED flash
Battery: Li-Po 1390 mAh
If one is used to purchasing dual sim phones priced around 150-300$ then this phone might be a little, if not, a huge way away from your usual budget. There has to be an explanation for that and I guess the Gorilla Glass display is one of the reasons. Though not at full HD video capture, 720p HD video is still quite good for a phone. 5megapixels of camera goodness sounds nice with its autofocus but if there is one thing I’ve learned about Image quality, you gotta test it to see it.
Lastly, you got the dual-LED flash. I wonder if that will indeed increase the lighting for subjects in dark environments
It’s expected to be launched somewhere this week so let’s see what’s gonna happen.
