So with the rise of the two seashell netbooks, we would like to ask, which is better? The 1005HA or the 1008HA?

The following answers will not be true to everyone so lets start by having a little comparison.

First of all the two are just the same in terms of RAM, processor and the like. The only thing that differs in the two is the size/weight and the battery.

So here are the strengths  and weaknesses  of 1005HA over 1008HA

1.Battery life: lasts about 10.5 hours  while 1008HA is about 7-8 hours

2.Size/weight: slightly heavier and bulkier compared to 1008HA

3.Battery: you can remove the battery, while 1008HA is built in

So coming into consideration:

-if you are a student and you need a netbook for long hours of use, then the 1005HA is for you

-if you only plan to use the netbook for a couple of hours then the 1008HA is for you

-if you can’t handle a couple of inches bulk and a few hundred grams more weight, then 1008HA is for you

-if you are conisdering long hours of usage or movie watching then 1005HA is for you

-price wise the 1008HA is around 2K php more expensive than the 1005HA.

Asus Eee PC 1008 HA Seashell Review

Asus 1008HA

As much as I would like to talk about the features of this super slim netbook, all I can say is that it actually carries basically everthing the Eee PC 1005 HA carries.

So why the Asus Eee PC 1008HA Seashell?

So why make this new one?

Well, its the even thinner build. They prevous Eee PC was a wee bit too thick (as what some reviews mentioned themselves). This is because of the 6 cell Li-ion battery. Now they have the polumer battery which makes it even thinner. But this thinner feature compromises the initial battery life which is now about 5-6 hrs. Ouch. But it did try to cover all those “awkward” ports to make it an even more classy look. The only orifice you can see is the vent.

So I won’t delve much into the features, you can check out the 1005HA which is hardly different from the 1008HA.

With all the craze on portable computers, we aim to look for that Perfect netbook. And so goes the question, what is the best netbook for me?

We want to have a netbook with lesser hassle so most likely, a lighter netbook including the absence of carrying the charger. So what netbook is good without a charger? The netbook currently boasting the longest Netbook Battery life with 10.5 hours of use. That way, you don’t actually  need your charger. And even if you do need your charger, you won’t worry beause its pretty small itself.

Battery

Yep, its got an amazing 10.5 hours battery life, but in reality since I ‘ve personally used this myself, its actually 8 hours. But hey, it’s still a very impressive time. I get impressed when I can still use the Eee PC for 1hour ++ after it has only 22% life left. This is attributed to the Hybrid engine and the 6 cell battery. Great Job Asus!

Sleek Design

This cool netbook can get you people’s attention. Derivng its design from the seashell, its nice thin look, with that cool shiny shell, it gives you a sense of high class look. People complain about fingerprint problems which is true. But another highlight of this netbook is the keyboard More »
