Globe partners with Yahoo!

Globe-Yahoo! PartershipWhile browsing the Globe’s myGlobe website, I noticed that they have made a partnership with Yahoo! As part of their partnership, Globe included Yahoo’s oneSearch in its wapsite.

Yahoo oneSearch is Yahoo’s search platform for mobile phones. It provides instant search results, similar to the results we get from the Yahoo! Search in the web, in mobile format.

[photopress:yahoo_go_2.jpg,thumb,alignleft] Yahoo also provides an application, Yahoo! Go 2.0, for mobile phones. All your favorite Yahoo services are accessible via this application. To get this application from Globe for free, text YGO to 2992.

Another benefit Globe subscribers get from this partnership, Globe will offer this service at a discounted rate of P0.075/Kb when accessing services provided by Yahoo!

The question now arises, will Smart do the same for Google?

We have not heard any news from Google and Smart yet. But we’re sure that Google’s taking its measurs on providing a more advance, faster and more reliable services than those offered by its competitors.
