Google Nexus S’ touchscreen is not Gorilla Glass

Samsung Customer Service has confirmed that the Google Nexus S’ touchscreen is not Gorilla Glass just like the Samsung Galaxy S. As you might have known, the touchscreen display of Samsung Galaxy S is tough. I guess it was designed that way to bring down the cost of the Nexus S.
Engadget’s theory is that it was not made as tough as that of the screen of the Galaxy S because they might not have the technology to produce such over a contoured surface.
If you’re gonna attempt to do a scratch test on the Nexus S, forget about it.

The nexus S doesn’t have a contoured AMOLED, its just the glass covering the screen thats contoured.. I dont know why they chose contour over gorilla glass.. Hayz.. Maybe your right.. they did it to reduce cost..
