BestBuy.com Access Denied
Just a few days after the Nexus S was officially being sold online by BestBuy.com, I cannot access main website just this Sunday afternoon. As of this moment, the website cannot still be accessed.
I’m not sure though if people from the USA can visit and purchase something from the BestBuy USA website. I was about to purchase a Google Nexus S when suddenly, the page displayed the Access Denied error. Other users have posted in the BestBuy.com forum regarding the Access Denied error.
With this, I don’t think there will be a guaranteed Christmas delivery for the much-coveted Nexus S for others.

BestBuy.com may be accessed now. I can’t believe that the main website has been down for a long time.

& the media is surprisingly quite about it! It has been almost a day down! Maybe it limited access to IPs inside the US until it recovers completely.. maybe!

I am from the middle east but I want to buy Nexus unlocked version.
Is it possible for me to buy and use it here? I mean with using a normal Sim Card? I use an iPhone now which I bought the same way… please let me know. if yes, i would like to buy a Nexus

@Nemo, Yes, you can use it with a normal sim card. As long as your network is GSM, you can use it there.

Site is still displaying “access denied” for Germany. I placed an order last week via telephone, made a follow up call a couple days ago due to it not being shipped, but finally see a confirmation using a direct order status link posted on the best buy forum. So we’ll wait and see if it makes it before christmas, or will completely inconvenience the recipient.
On the other hand, the best buy order service reps were great. Even though it costed lots in long distance, they resolved the problem we had with ordering from the site and on top of that, my item shipped out today for $50 less (item was $599, then at the time of order, $649, when billed and shipped, $599), so I can’t complain.

I just tried to access the Best Buy website from Australia and it still won’t work. Access denied. I’m trying to buy presents for my American family (I’m American living in Australia) and it’s a shame they won’t let me.

also cannot access it. i am from guam. We use a US IP address though. Not sure why its not able to load. Anyone in US have this issue?

It seems as if Bestbuy does not have the Infrastructure to support the increase in Holiday Shopping as does Amazon, that is why it seems to be block, I have bypass this issue by blocking my IP address…. good luck…

it’s the same problem for Dominican Republic. I’ve tried to access several times and show the message: Access Denied.

It’s now working in Saudi Arabia.
As I told you all in my previous comment, it wasn’t working even in the US. It was allowing access only using the mobile version of the website in all the world.

The reason of all this, in Arabic (use translate.google.com to translate the whole comment with one click):
السبب هو أنه موسم اجازة والزيارات للموقع تكثر بشدة فلا يستطيع الخادم تحمل كل هذه الزيارات. لذلك حددوا اصدار الجوال من الموقع لأنه أصغر في الحجم فيقل الضغط على الخادم المستضيف للموقع بشكل كبير.
يبدو أن الزيارات قلت الآن فعاد الإصدار الأصلي للموقع من جديد.
