My iPod Earbuds got broken

appleearbuds3_closeup.jpgI dunno when or how it happened but when I used my iPod this morning, there was something wrong with the quality of sound I hear. I’ve been hearing some noise on the left channel of my earbuds. It’s very annoying specially when the music being played is on the rock and alternative genre. The cracking and noisy sound is very irritating on the ears. I tried checking the audio jack connected to my iPod but found it ok. I have no idea what caused the problem and all I can do is to declare my earbuds broken.

I talked to Kuya Andrew about it and he said that iPod accessories are also covered by the 1-year Warranty for the product. So I tried asking the merchant where I bought my iPod. Though they honor the warranty Apple gave, but they limit it to the iPod unit alone. I have to check the authorized Apple Service Center here in Davao to see if they could replace the damaged accessory.

I’ll be bringing my Apple Earbuds to the service center first thing tomorrow before they start their Christmas break.

It is important to know what you want your earbuds for. Buy the best technology for the money you have to spend. If you will be flying noise canceling earphones would be useful. If you need to block sounds like voices or something other than a low frequency constant sound then noise isolating earbuds may be a better choice.
