Microsoft: To focus on Windows Phone 7

Microsoft will not be shipping KIN to Europe this fall and will just be focusing on the development of Windows Phone 7. Their KIN and Windows Phone 7 team will collaborate by making available the technologies in KIN to the future releases of Windows Phone 7.
Microsoft KIN is still being sold in the US with Verizon Wireless phone plan and data plan.
With the news of Microsoft KIN not being shipped to Europe this fall, does this mean that the Microsoft KIN just died? Or they would like to concentrate more on Windows Phone 7 since they will probably get more income from it?
In my opinion, Microsoft do not really need to produce KIN since they have a lot of partners already. They need to address the improvement of their mobile operating system.
